As geopolitical tensions reshape global trade routes, maritime law continues to evolve in response to new strategic realities.

This session will examine the legal and regulatory challenges arising from increased activity in Arctic waters, with a particular focus on Greenland’s position within these developments.

Speakers

Peter Appel – Partner, Gorrissen Federspiel

Peter Appel heads the Shipping, Offshore and Transportation practice at Gorrissen Federspiel. He advises leading Danish shipping companies and brings extensive experience across international maritime law, infrastructure projects, and Greenland-related matters. He is a former Chair of the International Bar Association’s Maritime and Transport Law Committee.

Johan Casper Hennings – Partner, Gorrissen Federspiel

Johan Casper Hennings is a partner in the Shipping, Offshore and Transportation practice at Gorrissen Federspiel. He specialises in maritime projects and transactional shipping and offshore matters, with a strong focus on delivering pragmatic solutions to complex legal challenges.
